I have long been interested in both organic and geometric form, and, the idea of combining both in a single piece has intrigued me. In this series, geometric limestone urns also act as the backdrop or framing for organic bronze relief sculpture. The sculpture represents specific views of completed three dimensional works. A technique for layering plate bronze has been used, and these layers have either been treated with a dark patina or polished as pure bronze to add depth to the sculpture and create a sense of shadow.
