"Halo"

Inspired by organic and geometric forms, this piece has been rendered in maplewood and granite. The idea for this work came from the beautiful bone formation surrounding articulation of the lower jaw with the skull in the raccoon. I saw a figure ensheathed in a halo in this formation and extracted it from its context in drawings.
