 I became fascinated with broken seashell parts on a trip to the Caribbean. Here one finds the essential structure of the shell having been torn apart, but smoothed over time by sand and the sea. Some of the resultant shapes are quite beautiful, their intrinsic strength already proven by the elements. Shell represents all of these qualities in a delicate figure resting on its white marble container.
